Hi all. Can I ask your help.
Google maps send me down some wrong roads,
So would like a nav that will
Work with van perameters
Hight etc.any suggestions please.yup

Do you want a stand-alone unit or use a satnav app on your phone?

Bare in mind that no satnav is perfect including the MH one that you can setup your vehicle dimensions, but to date, for a phone or head unit I have found Copilot to be the best usable satnav.

My opinion, after trying, is that Sat navs with dimensions for Motorhomes are a waste of money and nothing more than a cynical marketing ploy to get people to pay three or four times the cost of a basic Sat nav. Exploiting people’s anxieties.
I now just use Apple or Google maps or a basic Garmin and read the road signs diligently.

I think that this is a huge generalisation! You need to be specific. You can’t possibly have used them all!

I have a Snooper and it has never let me down on heights of bridges, speed limits or weight limits etc home or abroad. just showing its age now with no updates, new roads etc.

We have the Pioneer AVIC EVO1 in our van, which takes dimensions but it's general route planning when in Europe recently was all over the place. We reverted to Google generally and didn't find the lack of dimensions a problem.

I have a cheapo Chinese made "Truckers" sat nav similar to the one in the link.
Can be programmed with your vehicle dimensions and has free updates.
It is also very cheap compared with most.
Just check out the spec when you buy one to make sure all the extras are included.

I've got a TomTom Camper and whilst it occasionally says "no route available", I'm not entirely convinced it takes dimensions into account. Just get a large tube of KY jelly for the sides. ;)

Had a Garmin 'Camper' Navi, it didn't know much about the width and height stuff even though it was input but did give the appropriate speed limits when they differed from the car limits, and the campsite and stellplatz functions were very good, I would have similar again if I did not have an inbuilt system.

We believe in belt and braces the Sat Nav is a useful bit of kit but we always check the route against a road atlas on more than a few occasions the Sat Nav chose a route that was not suitable for a large vehicle, thankfully the paper map provided the correct route.

I have an Android head unit (radio thingy) with Syjic truck installed, a 3 year licence was approx £70, you can put MH dimensions in it, it also has Google maps installed which I find easier to search on and then send co-ordinates to Syjic
