Off to Greece in April and Tom Tom doesn't work there without a £40 downloaded update.. (Don't want to buy another sat nav..)
Has anyone got an idea where to get it gratis please ?? Or at least at a sensible price..
Thanks.. Mitch.. :(

WH Smith do a good range of maps.

From my searchs tomtom forgot to include Greece for earlier versions but will be included in version 10.1 but the issue is being seen to......but tomtom, as usual, dont know when it will be resolved.

Allegedly it is included in the full Europe map but not in the Western Europe map

Thanks John, maybe they will magicly appear before our departure..
Yes we will be taking a good map as well (as always ).

You cant upload anything into a newish TomTom if the upload didnt come from TomTom.
they firmly closed the door on that when the previous o/s was snatched from them..

Thanks JUDGE, Will they go onto TomTom OK ??

asking the wrong person to be honest as not very technical. I did use the openstreetmap Nl site I linked to to download cycling maps for my garmin handheld and they worked fine, even used it in october for a city break in amsterdam. was real handly getting around a new city

but if you have an android device or ipad?

i just searched for free TT maps as thats was what you asked....but i'm a garmin user

no such thing as free from tomtom. and non tomtom maps wont work one one of their devices

why not use a phone or tablet as a satnav using one of the free apps to cover greece

Been twice for the winter and never used the sat nav . Managed just fine with a good map ! Panic not when you get off the ferry as I did ! First road signs were in Greek but followed soon after in English. !

Is it just the maps that you want? The update site for the chinese sat navs now has TomTom maps for download. They work with the igo software. You could download them from there if someone gave you the sign on details ;)

Thanks to all who responded. We use an iPad as the sat nav, with TomTom app downloaded from apple. I will have a look at free apps as you suggest Big1. Ta much..
Mitch..

Good reviews and free..
Thanks folks..
