Santander port opening times

Hi, We have a ferry booked out of Santander need to be there before 9am.
I know that you cannot overnight at Santander but what is the earliest you can get there.

Never been on such an early one but I would think a couple of hours before would be no problem.
For normal day sailings we have been four hours early so you should have no problem.

The BF website isn't a lot of help " Check-in usually opens several hours prior to departure..." Not a lot of help - usually. What does that mean?

Yeah that what i thought, the ferry is at 10:30 but as we have a dog, need to be there 90mins before this at the latest. i have read on another forum it does not open until 9am, this cannot be correct, or can it??
