We stayed at the parkingplatz on the opposite side of the main road. Two big areas to park up. I think it was €10 per night with immaculate loo! Definitely a town worth visiting. (y)

A street map showing parking places.we parked at the one nearest city walls, just cross main road walk in. Its a Lovely town with ancient covered walkways around the old fortress walls.

we went last November following down the romantic road and would recommend it, it can get a bit chilly so winter clobber is a must, stayed on the stelplatzs near the wall, it's well sign posted and was free when we were there,
we were a bit early for the Christmas market but caught the Aachen one on the way back to the tunnel,
