A great place to visit if your in the area, A couple of free Aires close to the village which is built into the mountainside, A place visited by many pilgrims and the Black Madonna.

The aire at the the very top near the lift is great. You can walk down to the bottom and get the lift back up.

We called in - it was heaving, nowhere to even halt the van even for a few minutes. We left quickly as not fond of traffic jams! Bet it will be worse this year.

We went to the aire at the bottom there is a tunnel cut through the rocks and as you come into the open there is nasty hairpin bend 3/4 of the way down .
we saw a coach have to do a 40 point u-turn no way he was getting around it we sat at the bar on the side of the road watching he was a good driver

Coming up the second automated lift is straight out of a Bond movie, loved it.

The aire at the the very top near the lift is great. You can walk down to the bottom and get the lift back up.

And when you get the lift back up it only goes half way up and you have to get the second lift to the top and they charge you again.

Went there in caravanning days, so 15 years ago. Caravan site at the top. Thunderstorms during the night and all electricity cut off at 2am for the whole of the next day. Lovely place. Access the village and site (Camping Le Paradis Du Camper in l'Hospitalet ) from the north D15.

We parked one night at the Chateau then next night to get away from the dust at the parking P1 L'Hospitalet big grass field with room for plenty of vans .

Hi, We were there in 2019. New aire now been built. All been re done, pretty walls, flower boxes and barrier. Lenny B would love this Me thinks although it was not finished at the time I spotted 20Euros pn. all tarmac small bays. circa 6-6.5 mtrs. Didn't see service point. That was the second and the last time we will visit. Must be other parking nearby but I would think greed has taken over so I would think we will be banned from anywhere else unless private. Bruce
