Replacing a Garage Door

Hey Gang,
I've a small garage on my AS Neuvo, with a flap down garage door. For some unknown reason, the bottom hinges have started to crack. Looks a matter of time before complete failure.

AS can sell me a replacement. Apparently needs to be the whole door + trim/insert. I can see regular screws and some sealant.

I've had a little search around the forums, but I can't see anyone writing up doing this before. I swapped a rooflight to a Maxx Fan, so I'm not completely inexperienced - but I do remember reading some handy tips from other's previous experience here.

Any pointers anyone?

Who put a plate on it and screws
Then quick spray of black paint on the plastic..perfect

This is the damage. Just looks like something that’s gonna catastrophically fail at some point!

Empty garage then remove the inner rubber that should reveal screws and clips holding door in place -mask up paintwork on outside then cut through sealant with a scraper or “cordless buzz saw” with a sharpened blade. You can do the same on the inside Push/pull old door out, clean then bed new frame/door on Puraflex 40 or Stixall then secure and clean off excess sealant. Top tip Use some small wedges/spacers to hold door in right position before securing

Thought I better close off this thread for any future searchers!

1. Bought a replacement door from AutoSleepers. Turned out to be in pieces! Had to chase them for instructions, as risk of an expensive mistake was high!
2. You have to remove the old key barrels and move to new door. Found a YouTube video for this, but was pretty finicky.
3. Removed screws from old door, then had the usual wedge, lever, tug-of-war, cut fun with the old sealant. Cleaned up with a sealant remover and washed clean with soapy water. I didn’t have to remove the inner-framing, so left that in place.
4. New door actually came with a foam gasket. I used this, but also chose to put new sealant around the door.

All pretty straightforward, but just confirms I HATE working with sealant - old or new!

Nice one when.mine was fixed nylon string attached to both sides to stop it dropping and hitting bumper .plessed it's fixed
