Replacement RJ12 cable OK?

I have a Victron BMV-712 battery monitor. It comes with 10m of RJ12 cable to connect the shunt to the display. The shunt is only 1m away from the display so I have 9m of cable to bundle up into the battery compartment. If I buy a replacement cable say 2m long off Amazon, is it likely that the replacement will be wired up differently and not work, or are these bog standard?

I think this will be one of those "suck it & see" things.
As long as all the cables are wired to the connector plugs, it 'should' work
Beauty of Amazon, you can always send it back

I replaced mine with a longer standard non-branded cable and it worked fine

Probably not longer in retrospect, but definitely a bog standard ebay cable
