well my reich ebox has bitten the dust and as camper uk are quoting me £2300 plus i might need a temp sensor and new screen to go with it i've decided it has to go.basically it's a battery charger some fuses and a split charge relay in a box.im going to loose some of its functions that work via the electronics inside the box such as tank gauges and outside temp sensor but i can sort them later .
i never used the screen as a on off switch for the lights etc as i've got leds with switches in most places so its a massive wiring all the feeds up via some fuses adding a stand alone charger from ehu and either a split charge relay or b2b
ive got a schematic of whats what on the plugs strangely i cant find a seperate fuse/terminal for the truma as far as i can see at present the power goes out in three groups living kitchen and bed areas and i suspect the truma will just be connected to the bed area seems they don't split lighting and power as i can see the wiring in the kitchen goes to both a hella socket and the lights. unfortunately none of the wiring diagrams show any cable colors
first job seat off and a picture of the spaghetti
im sure i will be back with a lot of queries
wish me luck

not long enough
have you tried all options for a repair?

I was guided to a firm in north Wales, when I thought I had similar issues

mine turned out not to be related to the Reich unit at all, but they were really knowledgable

this is them

aandn no longer repair reich e boxes ive spoken to them and they basicly said they get no support from reich and the units themselves are poor quality that they get to much grief from repairing them

What conclusion did you come to about the failure, apart from obviously wanting to ditch the whole unit ?
I think I mentioned I had mine repaired by Apuljak ?
They do seem over complicated for the job they have to do, my old caravan only needed 4 push button circuit breakers to cover all the functions !

a picture of the spaghetti

wish me luck

Can you make your own luck. A battery charger is a non-event, just wire direct to battery. That nice tidy spaghetti - if you or anyone has soldering skills you keep the the nice connections and go in the back, remove as needed and fit a relay or two to do the switching via nice neat switches on thin cable. The relays may already be there ready for a bit of rewiring. Jaws would love to take it on if only he had the time.

I'd gladly look at the circuits if you PM or put them up here.

I had never heard of these so googled them.

"It provides fusing, charging (both leisure and vehicle batteries), split charge, fridge control & solar connections in one neat unit."

Holy crap. How much for what is effectively £100 - £200 of parts in a plastic box?

I would much rather have all separates so that if one fails you don't have to replace the whole lot.

Cripes.

Electroblocks can be got for half the price and even they are a rip off in my opinion.

For the sort of money for the Reich you could buy a full victron set up.
