hi ..i have just bought a new fiat based motor home ,,i recall someone on here saying i need to register it with fiat for the warranty but cant find the post ,,do you have to register a new vehicle to get the warranty ,,?

Are you talking about buying the extended warranty or the standard one?
If the former then you MUST pay and sort it within 14 days I think. I use Adams Morey Portsmouth and Jo there will be able to sort that. I paid around £950 to extend to 5 years which brings breakdown cover too.
If the latter i.e. then I think the blue folder of manuals etc suffices. The number is usually on the sun visor.

However, you don't need to do anything really. The V5 will suffice as proof of standard warranty should any issues arise.

Dealer or converter should do it for basic warranty unless you did a self import then you need to do it.. Just need to take V5 to a Fiat professional and they can log it on the Fiat system.

The dealer should have notified Fiat about the sale and activated the 2 year warranty. The extra 3 years has to be purchased but you only have a limited time for this as explained at #2 by davidroxburgh . A phone call to Jo at Adams Morey should help clear up whether your Fiat is on the system 02392691122 whether or not you want the extended warranty.

Fiat have a separate service for motorhomes called Camper Assist which covers the UK and Europe and I have registered on this rather than the car system.

thanks,,no i bought from dealer and i think i just stick with the standard warranty,,
