We've decided to have this system fitted on our van and am wondering whether those of you who have this system have 1 or 2 x 11 kilo bottles.

Our RV had an under slung lpg tank with 80 litres that lasted ages but I don't know what 11 kilos is in relation to litres?

I fitted 2 x 14kG in our previous Frankia. They were Alugas and I removed the collars (Simple 3 bolts). I needed more gas as we had a large Frankia with a gas gobbling ALDE system.

The two Alugas 11kG I have had on the last van and the 2 Gasits I have with our Hymer last for ages.

Our gaslow system does have a guage but we haven't found it very accurate. Prefer not to risk running out. We can cope with most things but not being able to make our morning cuppa would be too much to bear.

Ours were lightweight Alugas and we're having the same fitted in our new van next month, although we're having 2 x 14kg bottles.
It's the alugas we're thinking of. I'll see if we can have 14 kg bottles

We have a 11KG Gaslow and a spare non refill. Didn't want to spend the extra £140 on a bottle and never need to use it or the gas. We have had this set up for over four years and i can say that only on one occasion have I needed to switch over to the non refill bottle, this was during a Winter and the Gas low ran out the morning we were moving on. We have found when travelling around I fill up with gas when I fill up with fuel. In the warmer time of the year the 11KG bottle lasts ages. In the winter obviously you have heating and cooking so I get a couple of weeks. We full time and have not had issues. £140 saved.

We have 2 x 14Kg Alugas light weight cylinders with the collars removed ... Supplies and fitted by Autogas 2000 inear Thirsk.

I think you will find most British moho's will onlly have sufficient locker height for 11Kg max but these are still available as light weight items by Alugas.

We have the Alugas 2 bottles with changeover, fitted by previous owner. What are the collars you are talking about and why do you remove them ?
