Hi All
can anyone recommend a firm for re- upholstery of our motorhome interior - when we are able. We live in East Cornwall just over the Tamar Bridge.

Thank you

Not particularly close to you but Regal Furnishings did a fantastic job on my sisters Pilote a few years back. At that time they managed a 1 day turnaround - you arrived the night before, spent the night in your van in their compound and early the following morning they started on the van whilst we spent the day in town.
Can’t fault them.

Thank you - I have heard of that firm and they do have a good reputation. I think there’s also a firm near Bristol.
It would be good to have a service where you can take the van and bring it home again the next day- it’s a bit of a faff otherwise.

Ditto

Thanks for the help all

We had ours done by a local upholsterer, thread here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/jj-upholstery-peterborough-area.199271/ There used to be a very good upholsterer just outside of Penzance who used to do all the upholstery for my brother in laws boat repair business, unfortunately they are no longer around but my BIL always said that they were far cheaper then any of the big advertised companies and did a far better job. He currently uses Kador or Chinns in Falmouth when their in house upholsterer/seamstress are to busy. May be worthwhile taking a look at your local upholsterers.

Another vote for Regal, did a great job for us, we arrived late afternoon on Monday parked in their yard on their EHU, chose the foam we wanted for the seats, Tuesday morning they started, we were dropped off at the bus stop and went to Derby for the day, got back at about 4.00pm and the job was done, superb, the front sets had the pattern running through the head rest, seat back and seat base, the upholstery was often commented on during our travels.

There is a company in Bell Close plympton Devon don’t know their name

You could try Custom Boat Upholstery in Plympton. They have a good reputation for their work when we had a yacht.

A bit further away but not too far: We had all the boat foam replaced and recovered by Ashburn Upholstery in Bovey Tracey. They did a really good job.

Brilliant - quite a lot of choice - luckily a bit more time to save up for the alterations given the current restrictions.😊

Just as as an alternative worth trying regular upholstery companies.
At a show we had one of the "motorhome upholstery" quote on repair of a leather seat. £100 plus vat.
Local company quoted me £40 !! But on collection said it had not taken them so long. "Put £20 in the tea fund" 👍👍
My mate who recommended them paid a lot more for having his rolls Royce done 🤣

In my van...the quotes I got for reupholstering were huge but when they were explained it became obvious over 50% of the quote was to remove/cover/refit upholstered panels in the over cab, rear bed area and dinette wall because of the time involved
I did all that myself and then got quotes for all that was left which was the dinette seating, most came in under £1000
If you can do all the bits and pieces leaving just some seat cushions to recover you will save a lot of money

THANKS - I must agree about the trims - I think we might leave them and just get the seats done

Ralph converted our van from scratch himself from a new Peugeot . We got regal to do all our upholstery .
Good quality proper not bonded leather and they used some upholstery fabric I bought from Next too. They even embroidered an RB logo we designed where we wanted.
We’d recommend them too.
