Yesterday we were at Morella. Noticed a few processionary caterpillar nests in the trees at the Aire so kept our dog Nix well clear. In the afternoon we visited the castle (which incidentally is free on Tuesdays in winter after 2pm - a nice bonus). Surprised to find processionary caterpillars on the march well within the castle inner wall when there were no pine trees around. Looking down over the castle ramparts we saw loads of caterpillar nests in the trees a good way down, so presumably some caterpillars had got blown upwards. Just to make others aware that the little b*ggers can occur where you might not expect them.
