I am responsible only for what I write Buffon, not for what you understand. ?

That is a bit of a stumbling block for contributors on social media bigwig. You must leave many scratching their heads.....:pop:

For the life of me ex51sss I cant begin to understand why anyone would pay two grand for that. Am I missing something?

Ok, for those who are hard of understanding:

My friend, Jeff Henry Robertson (self made millionaire), has money to burn and wants to personalise his runabout. JEF 11R, with a strategically placed (between the 11) black mounting bolt, would do nicely.

Your ‘anyone’ buttons, is now someone. Can you now understand why someone might pay £2000 for this registration?

If not, at what price point would your understanding change?

Ian

I suppose a millionaire is able to pay silly money for all sorts of stuff most people wouldn't consider parting with their hard earned money for.
If you've got it, you might as well spend it but if money is no object he could probably get better than that reg ?

So, let me understand this, anyone abroad with a GB plate on the back of their vehicle could actually be George Benson or even George Best?

Dam! I knew that was George Benson in that cortina.

He has a fleet of cars and already has all of the other better ones. ?

The fact that some members do not like/cannot see the point of cherished/personalised reg numbers has no relevance to this thread which is a CLASSIFIED ad.

If you are not interested why not simply move along and if you wish to start a discussion on the matter start your own DISCUSSION thread?

Good luck with the sale, plenty of people called Jeff out there and as initials there will also be a few.

So are you saying we don't need to be here chatting about registration numbers?
Doh - if only you'd said that at the top I'd have saved at least 5 minutes of reading this stuff - when you've got these great tips please say them straight away!

Yours,

Sorry bigwig, it's not millionaires who want make believe number plates, it is the Dell Boys of this world, the pretender's.
Driving a nice motor makes you feel a lot better than having JEF 11R for others to snigger at.

personal registrations are like marmite, love them or think them wasteful and silly. it's still personal choice and bugger all to do with anyone else
