Hi There. I have a 2022 Burtsner Lyseo TD727G. The powered habitation step has failed in the open position. Has anyone else had this problem? If yes, what was the solution?

Have a look around the step mechanism. Look to see if there are any connectors in the wiring that may have been covered in dirt. As most steps are behind the rear wheel they get covered in road dirt flung up by the wheel, you really do need a mud flap there. Be careful while wiggling things, a contact may be improved and the step suddenly retract, your fingers won't stop it.

Have you tried helping it in with your foot?
It might only need lubricating.

I have had this issue and, oddly enough, it has happened to me again just a few days ago. I need to sort it out again as I need to take the van out. Last time, I removed the fuse from the fuse box thinking it had failed and was going to replace it but found that reseating it triggered the step into retracting. Hopefully it will work again. Frustrating.

WD40 cures everything.

That's of course as long as your happy with anything you have that's rubber being buggered when WD40 gets on it. :xThumb:
No one has mentioned WD40 apart from you Paul, I think you jumped the gun. x:-)
Anyway it's far worse on nylon.

Common problem with the steps is the nylon gear teeth breaking or stripping. Sometimes you can reposition the gear wheel as only a section of it is used.

Strange no one on my ignore list, viewing on my tablet, just tried phone the same. I'll have a look on the pc when I get up.

Hi and welcome to FUN. (y) As others have said, give it a good clean, then check the wiring, then spray everything.

Had this problem (albeit on a much older moho) - turned out that removing the main fuse was the solution, it is a form of hard reset for the control panel. Worth a try before you start scrabbling around with the lubricating/penetrating spray of your choice etc . . . .

Just to confirm, I removed and re-seated the corresponding fuse and the step retracted okay - not immediately as I had my side door open but as soon as it was supposed to. Owners manual should tell you which fuse (yellow 20 amp) is the corresponding fuse.

I had this a few weeks ago. As another poster suggests a little help in with the foot was enough then when home added some lubricant and been fine since.
