......because it's highly unlikely that we'll be travelling any time soon and your pics would cheer me up.

CV19 hasn't helped one bit but according to my diary our Summit 640 has been off the road, being repaired, since October 2020; yep, almost 8-months and still counting.

We've had all three roof leaks repaired; the external leaky Dometic toilet hatch was repaired (but not fixed) and the power steering rack and the PS pump have both been replaced 'twice'....and yet the problem still exists.

After months of waiting we now have the London-based Fiat technical examiner coming up North on the 14th June to help diagnose the problem.

The Dometic toilet hatch has been replaced and still leaked badly in the rain. We then had it adjusted by the dealer and yet still no joy - still leaking badly......and to cap it off the door was damaged when being repaired the second time.

.....so please post your pics-up guys as I'm not entirely sure if we'll get the opportunity to pop away this summer.

I didn't realise you still had a van, (well you haven't really ) hard to believe you have had that many leaks in a PVC. Power steering is not exactly complicated sounds like you need an old fashion mechanic rather than a "Fiat Technician".

Such a shame you’ve had so many issues Andrew. We’ve really just used ours as a porta loo day van for travelling up north. Had a nice couple of nights on Millport at the meet. Too busy over next couple of weeks with Sam’s exams and sorting out all my end of term tasks to get away but hopefully over the summer. Hope you manage a wee break.

To be fair Lenny I've only had 8 leaks.

On a positive note it's better than 9 or 10.

See how positive I'm looking at this - very!!

Drop me a note when you're next up my way and Nicky and I will take you out for chips, scraps and gravy.

You'll have to pay for your own fish though

Nicky and I will be attending the examiners visit on the 14th June as the Fiat guys are stumped.

Morning all, Nicky and I are both sitting like a couple of lemons outside the Fiat Pro Garage waiting for the techy guy to finish his road test, followed by a couple of other tests thereafter.

I hope they get this van sorted soon as 8-months is just too long to wait.
