Hi could anybody recommend a portable tv aereal that works well as our new campervan hasnt got a fixed one in at the moment . cheers

I guess you are looking for a portable aerial, as a temporary measure, before getting a peŕmanent aerial installed ?

It might be helpful if could tell us what your permanent solution is likely to be and whether you intend to tour in UK only or UK and EU.

A lot of Funsters these days seem to be veering away from terrestrial/satellite aerials and using wifi/mifi to stream TV programmes.

Avtex or the Vision plus version gives acceptable results, they're available from E-Bay or any decent caravan dealership.
Hope this helps.

We're in Cornwall in a bad reception area. Both our aerials are useless (avtex loaded whip with amplifier and antiference portable)

Got talking to the couple next door with satellite and he lent us his emergency terrestrial aerial. Plugged it straight in to the TV and plonked it on the roof, we now get a load of channels. 🤩

I always used to think the little stick aerials were just gimmicks, only about 10 quid too.

Amazon are bringing us one tomorrow 😎

Amazon product ASIN B007JPOX8O

We were at Porth when I bought the August aerial above. We got 47 tv and 19 radio channels 👍

Can I get it delivered to site next day?

Yes Amazon did for us. You get a map sent to your smartphone half an hour before delivery and you can see the driver doing his stops, when you're the next stop go to reception and meet him 👍

I have one of these and it never ceases to amaze me how good it is. The only downside is it needs connection to a nearby USB for the amplification.

We are not tech minded but we need to sort this aerial for future sites so in your opinion what is the way forward?
Satilite ? WiFi ? Or these View Dome things? Any idea?
thanks
