Popit say if it doesn't work in a router put the sim in a mobile then connect then put it back in your router.
But it's not really a problem often when roaming with any sim you have to change the APN settings it's easy to do.

Sorry Lenny I’m really thick when it comes to this sort of thing. If I activate the sim in my phone and change these settings does the sim store them when I move it to my mifi? Then I presume I have to change the settings back to my normal sim when I put my old sim in?

Your phone can have multiple apns stored the same as your mifi. Once you have set it up it remembers the settings until you do a reset.

No, settings are relevant to the device, I think what they are saying is just to set up the initial connection to the server if the sim doesn't work when you first try in the UK.
Normally the phone/router sets the APN automatically when you put the sim but sometimes they need a different setting when roaming.

As it's on EE I doubt you will have any problems. In my experience EE usually works faultlessly when roaming whereas with Three & Vodaphone you often have to change the APN settings.

As your screenshot looks like its from a mobile I just went onto their site via my mobile and got the same results as in my link.

They seem to have different info depending on which page on their website you look at, this is in the FAQ section.

My 3 sim only deal is coming to an end and they are putting the price up from £12-£19 if I don’t renew, if I renew I lose the eu free roaming.
Been looking tonight and found a company called ID mobile who are doing 250gb for £15 or unlimited for £17 with full allowance allowed in EU, they have fair usage which says you have to use it in U.K. more than eu.

Has anyone any experience of them, they use 3 network.

Yes,,had it since Aug..8 weeks in Spain and France without a problem,,Watched TV without a problem,, Unused data rolls over which is handy because I used 130 gb in Sept,, I pay 15 pounds for 100 gb.BUSBY.

Are we using the term 'Fair Usage' in the same way? As I understand it lots of companies that the term, but can mean whatever they want - they each have their own definition. Basically means they'll give you a 'fair amount' if you use the sim 'fairly'. It's NOT 'use as much as you want in the EU', there are conditions.

As it happens ID uses the term and their data allowance in the EU is pretty much like most that have restrictions (about 12Gb), so not very good.

I use Free.fr when in France then send a regisered letter to cancel it before I leave France which at the moment costs €4.55 if you don’t have advice of receipt. The roaming is 25Gb which gives me a week or so to get a UK sim or reactivate the old one which for me is Superdrug which also has limited roaming giving enough time in France to buy a Free.fr one.

Hi busby that’s interesting. Did they not impose their data limit on you? I have been looking at iD which is very cheap at the moment but a £15 deal will only supposedly give 11.5 Gb of data while roaming.

I found the biggest problem with Three sims is nearly every time you move even just a few miles they often don't reconnect to a network also when you search networks a lot aren't available to you, a right pain when you move nearly every day like we do. Also speed is often throttled.

I'm on Smarty which uses three. Had no problems roaming, connecting to a network or throttling. I had a three contract for over 12 years. I told them I was only leaving because of the roaming. I had unlimited everything for £16 a month. I've moved to Smarty 120 G a month £12. Also included is 12G of roaming. This does me fine coupled with our 1p Lebara sims.

We travelled down through France and into Spain moving every day during Sept and never had any problem at all connecting to ID wi fi and watching TV,,In Oct we only stayed in two locations in Spain and then took four days travelling up to Santander,,again no problem and I only use my phone as a hotspot and Firestick to watch TV.BUSBY.

Allowed me all the data I used..Their terms are quite confusing,,They mention a four month period abroad which isn't possible visiting Schengen and they also quoted limiting to 75% if they think your not resident in uk.Didnt limit me at all and I hammered it.BUSBY.
