Petition to allow motorhomes in East Suffolk Council car parks

Which car parks in what Suffolk resorts are we refering to Chris? Most have been severely abused by campers leaving a bad taste in the mouths of both councils and resident's.

Hi buttons.
We live in Suffolk and have been to this costal area in our motorhome hundreds of times over the last 30 years and I have never seen any mess or vandalism that could be attributed to Motorhome users. I don’t see where you’re coming from on this one.

The one in the picture is cliff Road Felixstowe, been there several times always plenty of room and never seen any mess. No overnighting allowed.
The one at southwold even has marked bays just for Motorhomes.

You will be aware of the beach road and car parks at Aldeburgh for starters. Thorpness Sizewell Dunwich Southwold and all gaps in between. The contents of toilets n bushes on the beach and in public toilets. Rouge over nighting for weeks at a time. Etc etc

In council car parks? No, you don't live here you don't have a clue.

I live in East Suffolk, only 10 miles from the coast, and use lots of these car park’s, for a day out at the beach, in the MH.
If we arrive early, often looks like several MH have overnighted, instead of banning, why not introduce a fee to overnight, maybe limited to 1/2 nights.
Many have ample space, would generate some income.
Most of the car parks that used to be free, now have pay and display, and during the Easter break have been full to capacity.

I’ve never seen any of this. Maybe just lucky. We don’t go in August so that could be why.

I also live in Suffolk and often go upto the coast, I don't recognise the problems mentioned above. There are plenty of places to overnight if you look hard enough, I use google earth to find out of the way places.

Possibly do have a clue olley, we moor in Pin Mill or Woodbridge spend much of the summer sailing or camping the length of the coastline which have been doing since before Sizewell A, was built possibly know the county better than many of those who now live there.

Signed as another resident albeit a different council. So short sighted of the council.
