Passports (Not Doggy)

I've just been doing a bit of frustrating reading about Passports and travel to the EU. Apparently if when you last renewed your Passport they gave you the extra months on top of the 10 years if you renewed early ie 10yrs 9months for example EU rules state that you can't travel on this passport when it reaches its 10 years from issue date even though it still has 9 months left until it expires and you have to have at least 3 months left on you Passport to travel. So be aware. Brexit the gift that just keeps on giving

It's not all bad. I managed to get out of a business trip I didn't want to take to the EU last year (didn't fancy sitting in a plane, taxis and foreign hotels/restaurants during a pandemic) as my passport only had a couple of months left to run. Sunlit Uplands indeed!

For some countries it’s 6 months validity so beware. It’s not new, Martin Lewis started warning people a couple of years ago around the time they stopped adding the extra months when you applied early.
