I returned to an old wild camp that I had not visited for 5 years. The trees had grown and I scratched the paint on the roof. Six months later and I have a serious paint peel that is spreading.

Do I live with it or is there an inexpensive (relatively) treatment that will improve the appearance. I should point out that elbow grease is not my greatest strength.

Dulux exterior is your friend as it cannot be seen and lasts for years. Just take off any flaky bits and brush over the area !

What van and how old? Not a tip, but the early Sevel X250 cabs had a very poor paint finish, caused by the factory using incompatible undercoat/top coat. It seemed to be most notable on PCV's but I had to have my bonnet resprayed when it got too bad.

It is a dark blue Hymer Exsis. It is 15 years old.

Our Exsis is 14 years old and Red.
Now, I've just left for my holiday but I do have a friend in the Leigh area that might help. He's just done my front bumper and it's now absolutely brilliant.
AFAIK, he's going self employed in the next couple of months. If you can't get an inexpensive self treatment then by all means, pm me

When I did our eaves boards with it I had to buy the primer, then under coat then gloss, all 2 coats each, for it to be guaranteed 8 years (y) don't know how it would take to metal.

I have used it ( with undercoat yes ) on metal, plastic, fibre glass and even brick !
