Can anyone through some light on the output of the solar panel?

Pretty sure I have seen 4amps. I have changed the controller to an mttp. But I need more.

Has anyone changed the solar or added to it?

Thanks

The standard factory-fit panel is 120W, or it certainly was on my P650GJ. I changed that for 2x 185W and an MPPT controller.

Unable to get a picture just now.

It’s a 2016 van.

Sounds good. I have a votronic mppt controller.

What’s the max amps you’ve seen??

I don't make a great study of it, to be honest - 18 maybe? We've not really used it in high summer yet.

I'm sure you are aware... but you know that you'll only get a lot of charge going in when the battery is fairly depleted? If the battery is nearly full, it'll just 'float' charge a few watts.

Also, even a tiny shadow (like from an aerial or twig) will bring down the voltage of a solar panel to a fraction of it's maximum output.

So before you get out the wallet, check your output at solar noon (1pm BST) with no shadows over the panel and either a half used battery, or a lot of load on it.
