I'm posting again here because I think it will be missed in the USL, but if Jim wants to move it that's OK.
SO ...
Our first hiccough. Yesterday coming back from a walk with friends the STOP light came on on our Peugeot Partner van and the needle for the temperature gauge went to the top. The van was serviced last week in anticipation of its long drive to Madrid! We wanted to drive to Madrid on Friday in this vehicle. Martin had a look at it last night and the temperature gauge was still at the top. He took it to the local mechanic this morning who had a look and told Martin to bring it back at 12.00 noon. The mechanic tried many different things but nothing worked. Said bring it back tomorrow.
For Martin, this is getting too close for comfort, so he has now booked a hire car to take us to Madrid and we'll sort out getting home later.
Soooo at the moment we are going to Madrid airport early on Saturday morning instead of a leisurely drive on Friday and an overnight stop.
Hope this is not a sign of things to come .
