Just noticed this damage when washing the motorhome

Must have clobbered a Welsh tree branch last week
I've sealed it with aluminum tape for now but wondering if the part is still available ? - Oyster 1

Anthony OysterTech

Dish still working btw 😀

TIA

That looks like is is GRP so could easily be repaired with some mat and resin. If being picky, remove the dish and housing to repair from the underside.

Alternatively wait until Anthony OysterTech returns from his week off and see if a replacement can be sourced.

I had thought it was steel or aluminum (before it broke) but yes it appears to be grp, so I think a mat and resin repair will be best option but I'll wait for Anthony to reply.
I doubt it's worth the effort of removing to repair so it'll be a bodge from on top 🤣

Steel or aluminium would have either dented or withstood the impact.

For grp it's got a remarkably good shiny finish on it considering it's never had any attention apart from a wash once a year.
Certainly much better than the grp front end on the Hymer which is deteriorating 😕

I'd put a bit of white sticky back plastic on it you can only see it if your 12ft tall

Good old fablon

Must be a decent gelcoat surface.

BTW, you get white tank/gaffer/duct tape :sneaky:

Morning all,

Apologies for the late reply but after you've been to head office for a few days you definitely need a break! :ROFLMAO:

Figaro we do indeed still stock theses rotating head covers. To replace it you do need to cut/remove the connector from the LNB so you can feed the cable through the new one. The connectors we use as standard are multi core cables to allow for greater flexibility so they require crimp connectors or soldering on the centre core to strengthen it so it pushes into the LNB without bending. We can do the work here for you or ship the parts for you to do yourself.

The cost of the RHC is £42.50 inc VAT and the F connector is £3.86 inc VAT
Total for both would be £46.36 + carriage is you want it shipping.

If you want a chat about it first then please give me a call on 01858575928 however this morning I've got a couple of jobs in and on my own so better to call this afternoon.

Thanks all for tags. Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend.

Thanks for the reply Anthony.
For what it is, I think I'll just bodge a repair with some filler to seal it.
Nobody sees it up on the roof
Thanks for taking the time to reply 👍
