Oops I've just bought a Ford Duetta

Enjoy —— but don’t hand over any money until you’ve seen it, and the paperwork, in person. Looks genuine but many a scam about.

Is that like a Cornetto?

Please give it a thorough inspection before parting with any money.
It's got an 'interesting' mot history and has hardly been driven since 2013.
Really hope it works out for you!

Ok had a few lovely chats with the owners of the van, very genuine people.
He's delivering it to me as he has to be in Cambridge on Sat, it's been valeted and all ready for my first trips.

It's been booked in for a habitation check, I'd like a pull out awning, quite expensive new, so looking at 2nd hand ones, also a reversing camera.
My kitbox from our caravan is all sorted and ready to put in the camper too, then off to a local site to try everything out.

I predict you are going to have a lot of fun in your Duetta. Good luck and happy travels.(y)

2000 mile in 7 years, it will have clocked them just going for the mot's

Good luck with it and hope it all works out OK for you(y)

Smiley face Transit, (y) Ive had a few of those in my time. Absolutely bullet proof engines, even if the cam belt goes and smashes all the rods, it’s a quick head off, drop new rods in and away you go. If only they were still that simple these days.

Same engine we had in our ldv, that I commented on in another thread,
If you can keep the body together it will go for years.

So it has arrived, thankfully all ok my friend had a good look over it. Inside is in excellent condition too. Had a drive and really smooth for an oldie.

Will get cambelt done just in case.

Happy camper x  (y)

Update, habitation check all done, everything works, just needed something doing in the water heater.

And what's more important I now know how stuff works, just got to remember it all.

Drove it fir awhile, really like it, obviously bit noisier than the Navara, but lovely big windows to look out of 🥰🥰

extra carpet in the cab can make a lot of difference
It's got the original blue carpet, and a beige one in a funny shape, doesn't fit, and a foot carpet drives side, I'll maybe look for a better fit loose one then , cheers x

dont forget under the front seats as well my bessacar had nothing over the painted metal, have added a couple of layers of underfelt which along with extra carpets at the front makes listening to the radio a lot better
