Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Browsing on the bay of fleas today when I came across this sad sight. :Eeek:
I must admit that I'm surprised at the lack of base vehicle integrity & by that I don't mean the Auto Trail part, its the obvious weakness in the FIAT cab itself that is thought provoking.
Mind you we don't know what this motorhome was in collision with.

Wonder where the table ended up? :D

A fair thump methinks. Lot of damage high up too . On a brighter note, plenty of polystyrene for insulation.
My last van got rattled on point of nearside wing . Too old to buy it from insurance and do it up , it now shows mot'd and taxed. only cab and egine bay damage unlike the one on fleabay.

Very little intrusion into the cab internal area though - it looks like the crumple zone, such as it is on a commercial, did its job.

I'll give it a miss, only polystyrene insulation, wouldn't touch a van without PU insulation.:)

Just shows how little(none) insulation there is in the overcab.
Nowt but air-gap to keep the chill out.

I'm impressed the microwave stayed put (y)
Looking at the body damage it looks like a rapid slow down rather than a rapid dead stop so it may not have moved far.
Looks like it's been wedged between the raised sink lip and side wall or sticking out post.
Emergency braking would probably result in the same.

I think it was hit (stationary) rather then moving and hitting something that’s why no damage inside hab...

Listing refers to minimum repair lol.....

Stick it on a new shape chassis. (y)

I'm impressed with the fantastic & intricate way the wood has been cut to fit the cab roof & glued in place to give support to the over cab bed base:eek: or has it been stuffed in there post accident??
