I was sure I hadn't seen this and it let me vote so my memory is ermm, whatever, I've just boosted the top category.

I've made is so you can change your vote, especially as some of us are 13 years older since voting the first time. A thread this old and so many of the posters are still here posting '\

how about a poll of what age you were when you bought your first motorhome?

Didn't need to change my vote! I wasn't around when the previous vote took place:LOL:. But would definitely have been a lower age group back then!

Got a decal on the Moho to match.

I seem to be in the minority on this site (40) with many more years for fun to be had!
I was going to wait till retirement until I bought a sizable van and go touring but thought, why wait?
I lost a Cousin a few years back to Cancer at only 34, it's also got hold of my Father-in-law and another (young) Cousin, my dad has also had a close call as well. Growing old isn't a right, it's a privilege so I'm going to make the most of it! Plan to go as much as work and school will allow whilst the kids are young and then hopefully enjoy it all again later in life with just me and the misses :giggle:

I am right in the middle of the poll, but I only have a tiny bit of grey hair...….that'll change though, well it will if I live long enough.:p:rolleyes:

We don't qualify anymore but we were both in the 79 - 85 category when we gave up last year. I still blame the Duke of Edinburgh!!

damn it !!!!!! just followed a link and got caught out with this thread.....its 5 1/2 years old

Pappajohn, don't blush have just done the same!!!!!

But would add that perhaps its a sign of life stages. How many are buying a home (mortgage) and then wow we have spare cash lets stop tenting or tugging or ..... and buy something much better.

Just thought if I'd seen it at the start wouldn't have been grey (ish).

SUGAR, just realised PJ said 5.5 years , I've just replied to a thread 12/13 years old.....

JIM need to cap the old stuff

Looking at it. the most significant Factor is just how the numbers drop off after 70. (241 as opposed to73)

Could it be a reflection of the necessity to renew a licence after 70?. OR?

More relevant to ask what age you started motorhoming at. I was 19 when I bought my first van and now 76 and still motorhomng

I want to complain about the title of this thread, I'm not old and grey-------- old and bald? well maybe :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Grey yes, old nope, that is until i look in the mirror, so I don't. :wine::wine:
I positively avoid looking in a mirror,,, the Guy looking back at me is an old man,,, I am not that Guy in the mirror, I am "me" and "me" looks nothing like that Guy in the mirror?!

Funnily enough ....I had the same experience on my sons birthday recently. I sat astride his bike and he passed me my grandson. He then took a picture of us both. Bugger me have I got old! I would have sworn it was another bloke on the bike!?
