Just keep pouring until it comes up on the dipstick! start it up and check again once the filters filled up.

thanks john, but thats the old fashioned way.

No I need to know whether to buy the 5-0l carton but I think its 5.2L therefore I will need extra

According to my hand book, it is 6L for for a 2.8 engine, if you also change the oil filter.
Fiat, Ducato. I usually buy a 5 litre can and a 2L bottle. Leaves me 1L over to top up when ever I need to.

thanks beachbum. Does it say what year that is?

Peter and I (or John as he,s known to you) dont have that problem Paul, we buy in 500 Ltrs at a time and that is normally enough for 1 Fiat:Rofl1:
seriously though please stick to the old fashioned way, DON'T just pour in 6 Lts and if the light says ok then orf you go. they are famous for being inaccurate:Eeek:
Geo or Peter or John if you like

We've just had ours serviced Paul, charged us for 7 ltrs, but left the bottle with about 3/4 left, don't know if that info helps.
