They will need the electric to power the electric motor when the water seals disintegrate on the cylinder heads.

One looks like a hose, with a 15mm cooper pipe attached.
 
Looks as though the owner is a radio ham or cb’er if you look at the various aerials explains the need for the panels
 
I’d rather walk.

You know how we hear sometimes of the little solar panels getting nicked from roads signs etc ... .:unsure:
