Can anyone help. We are on gas in Morocco and our gas bottle ran out that was feeding fridge. Changed gas bottle but no power at all to fridge, either on 12 Volt or with engine running. Checked all fuses in PSU fuse box of which none are designated for the Fridge. (Autotrail 2011)
Any help would be appreciated .

Hi Phil

Go to the back of the fridge and see if there is 12v there at all,

Might be worth posting your location, I doubt if anybody will help but you might have a good BBQ.

Martin

EDIT should have added(y) and say hi to Mena.

Colin said you must have a fuse for the fridge somewhere, but who knows where. In other words - no help what so ever.

P.s Also love to Mena.

We had a similar problem when our van was quite new. All the power went off, at first it was intermittent then went right off.
After removing the outside cover I found a ribbon connector cable (similar to the type of multi cables used in computers) that ran from high up at the back to a socket close to the bottom.
It had a 90º connector that had worked loose from its socket and once plugged back in all has been OK for the last 3 years.

It was a bugger to get back because there was no space to get your hand in and you couldn't see the socket.

Richard.

Great judgement Martin, I was clutching at straws and did as you suggested, touched one of the 12 V leads going into the connection and everything fired up. Fridge has been faultless too. Must be some of the rough roads we were travelling on. Mena sends her love.

Maybe your gas hadn't ran out then? Might be worth checking the old bottle.
