Hi all just North of Angers, have oyster vision 3 with auto skew, on previous visits have been able to get all the regular channels no problem but this time around can get itv 3 and channel 4 but not the above mentioned. Just wondered what may have changed.

106 BBC has gone and local versions are now HD, can you change which BBC you receive? I've no idea about 5 but we always BBC Cornwall when abroad.

It could just be atmospheric conditions as you are on the edge of the UK satellite footprint

I am surprised that someone would who is travelling through France would post ,

No bbc or channel 5

When was the last time you used the receiver? You may need to do a channel rescan.

C5s moved frequency last 2022 - 11306 H DVB-S SR 27500 FEC 2/3
BBCs have moved all their channels to HD (with the slight drop in signal levels) - see https://www.lyngsat.com/packages/Sky-UK.html - with a limited SD service on 12422 H DVB-S SR 27500 FEC 2/3

Our current system will normally receive most UK channels down as far as the Audi and still have some UK channels into Spain backed up by 907. When you travel for as long time as we do and have some mobility problems we tend to keep up with some UK programs. Handy as quite often cold until further south at this time of the year. Also if it worked fine last time the query is what may have changed.

Good afternoon all,

Apologies for the late reply but we've been at the NEC and only back today.

We are aware of channel movements that have affected a lot of Oyster Avtex TV's.
If you have an Oyster Premium system then we can supply a new channel list. Please email me at anthony@oystersat-tech.co.uk requesting the new list and I will send it over.
Just a heads up as well that BBC are currently migrating their services over to HD and are switching off all SD services on the 31st of March 2024 so even with the new list there may be further changes that require another update in the near future.

P.S thanks to bigtwin for the mention.
