Help needed please, water pump has stopped working on checking fuses found fuse had blown so far so good but after fitting the new fuse this has. Lien also,in fact I have renewed fuse twice each time new fuse has blown.any advise on what to try next if anything would be appreciated

Disconnect wires from water pump and try again , if it still blows the fuse you know its not the pump.

Thanks Kuskus will give it a try.had tried it again off grid but has still blown the fuse🤔

Looks like it may be the pump as following your advise fuse is still intact.is there anything else we can try do you think

depends on which btype of pump you have if its in tank just replace external may be worth stripping down

If its the normal hymer submerged pump just remove it from the water tank and see if its seized .
Probably best to replace it , should be some online at reasonable price

Normally a sign they are buggered when they start blowing the fuse.

Time for a new one.

Thank you for your help funsters will b getting a new pump, away in Spain at mo so🤞Thanks again

fuse for pump keeps blowing? pump = FUBAR

Pump is submerged in tank
Water gets inside. They rust and seize causing the fuse the blow.
This is one that blew fuses which I cut open to find out why........

My 2018 Hymer is now on on it's 3rd pump.

A pump probably needs replacing every couple of years.
I always carry a spare, including at least a couple of the seals and the plug/socket.

3 pumps in seven years, always carry a spare, crap in the impeller will also blow fuse same as ice:eek:

Amazon.es will deliver to a campsite or any address in Spain.

Search for 'Reich' and identify suitable replacement.

Good Luck.

"Buggered" I do so like a good technical description, could not have put it better myself:giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

Geoff
Knackered is another technicians word for buggered - means the same thing - replace the kit.

Remember, blue is + on the 12v electrics side, and brown -. It looks wrong, but it's the colour way Hymer use.
It well probably run in reverse, just not as effectively. Also, check the direction of the non return valve on the top of the pump, that won't allow water through if put back on the wrong way up, "another T shirt I have "

Normally fairly reliable unless you run them dry.
Time to fit a Sureflo.

Thank you all for helpful advice, all taken onboard. manage to get a new filter at local camping shop in Benidorm not reichs but grateful for it all the same.all fitted and working👌

Just experienced a dead water pump (habitation) in our 2020 Hymer.
Performed all the ancillary checks only to confirm the pump was the offending article.
So a 36 mile round trip bike ride from Port Grimaud down the coast to a dealer.
Fortunately a very kind chap next to us on the site who happened to be a plumbing and heating engineer swapped it out for me, as I had very little idea.
All is well again, except for the dent in my wallet!
Hopefully this one will last slightly longer…..
