Rally Chat New rally in Derbyshire ?

Yes. Interested .any ideas on prices etc.? See its £12 to 14 with ehu and £10 to 12 without.
Any discounts for a few funsters?

are those prices from their website at 2012, could be dearer now maybe..
if that’s current prices, then excellent.

Would have been interested but unfortunately we're already booked on a festival on those dates, but definitely interested if there's a meet on any other dates.

Thank you 👍

Early days but very interested.

Well done to the OP for stepping up and planning/organising a rally… ✔️

Sadly by Sept we will be back in Europe else I would have loved to attend; I've family who live in Wingerworth and even more family in Chesterfield and Dronfield! 😎

We'd be interested please.

I have friends who have a farm which has a Caravan and Camping Club certified location and several separate fields suitable for a rally. The location is in Derbyshire close to the Peak District National park and many local attractions.
I have discussed this with 2 Fun members and am proposing a Rally on 11th to 15th September this year, the weekend before Warners Lincoln Show (which is about an hour away)
There are many walks and bike routes directly from the site. A Reservoir is very close by.
The site has recently had a toilet and shower block installed. A big advantage there is also a barn which has had a section fitted out with stage, lighting and heating which will hold about 100 people for entertainment and social events

Ilex Farm is situated south of Chesterfield off the A61 and 1 mile from Clay Cross, Approximately 6 miles from M1 junction 29 from the north or 28 from the south.
They have a dated website www.Ilex farm.co.uk which is currently being updated to include photographs of the new facilities,

I am trying to gauge interest, I realise this is short notice but do not see any events nearby so would like to try one this year.
If any local Fun members would attend and or help with in organisation on the weekend, I would love to hear from you.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome
We are just returning to moho’ing next week when we pick up our van.
Sounds good. I’ll check the farm website. Ann

It's a small world Harvey. I've got family too all around Chesterfield. My mum and dad were married in St Mary's church (the "Crooked Spire"), and I went to school at Deer Park Infants in Wingerworth.

The proposed rally field is in a nice location. Just about walkable into Ashover village which has some lovely old pubs.

Crich Tramway Museum is also close by, as is Cromford which is the birthplace of the industrial revolution - Arkwright's cotton mills are now a museum.

It's a very small world. I too am from Chesterfield and live there now! I was a chorister at St Mary's for 30 years and if you had the choir to sing at your wedding will know some of the lads! I also taught at Tupton Hall!

It is indeed, we lived at Walton for 7 years after we got married. I worked at Rolls Royce in the drawing office on Canal Road. After R-R went bust I worked at Clay Cross, Dronfield and Morton before moving back into Sth Yorkshire. A lot of my wife's family are from Chesterfield and still live there (those that are still alive).

sounds like a good venue and area. Will also be in foreign shores by then, but if there is going to be a New years meet we are up for it.

We stopped there a couple of years ago to attend a family party at the nearby White Horse Inn. Lovely site and Hosts. Was a bit of a walk to the pub but do able on a nice night.

The White Horse at Woolley Moor is walkable from the site. Always used to be a cracking pub with excellent home cooked food. Not been for years. Hopefully it hasn't changed.
