We have a new Motorhome Park on the outskirts of our village, next to the pub, now open but without electric until later in the year, so the eyewatering prices are reduced by 33% until then....

Nelson's Patch Motorhome Park Norfolk (nelsonspatch.co.uk)

I mentioned to the owner when he started work that it would be a good idea if he kept things simple and at a reasonable price he would be turning them away as lots of motorhomers prefer it like that, but he has decided to go down the fully serviced and landscaped pitch route with a charge to match. Must have cost him a fortune. Can't help thinking if he had just levelled the site, offered more basic aire like pitches and supplied a disposal point and a tap and charged around £8 per night he would have done just as well for much less initial outlay. Still, he's obviously an astute businessman and will probably make loads of dosh.

He also has another campsite/CS on the other side of the pub...

What are his eye watering prices? The site seems to have this bit missing.

Trouble is the north Norfolk coast is expensive and properly is a lot of money so may be a big mortgage to pay on the land

For fully serviced pitches the price is not bad. At Deepdale on the N. Norfolk coast I think they are even more expensive.

Edit. £42.80

We passed it the other day and saw it completely empty but the corner field looked busy.
The prices I saw on the web site looked like it was for the corner campsite

I see now they’ve called the big empty bit another name.

£35 per night and no dogs, someone's having a laugh.

Just put a weekend in august, site gave a discounted price of £39 for Friday and Saturday night. Will give it a try sometime thats fine for us. We ve eaten in the pub a couple of times but find it to far from the beach to use a pub pitch.

The prices you see are before the 33% discount so a £30 per night is actually £20 per night at the moment - with no electric.
