A few funsters have commented on my avatar, which unfortunately is not my van but one we saw on a French aires last year. As we pulled in, this very French couple were lunching under their awning. Think French berets, bottle of red wine, wine glasses on a checked table cloth, French bread and cheese, the works! They were delighted at our interest in the van, and happy for us to photograph their very stylish rig.

I use it for the avatar because to me it epitimises the spirit and freedom of our hobby, and that there are many ways to enjoy it. Big or small, it's how you use it. So they say.

fantastic conversion - love the trailer.

That is brilliant (y)

would love to own it

Great vans those, well before there time. Powerful engine, six speed boxes, power steering, power brakes, air con, air suspension.

Oh sorry, looking at wrong picture :rofl:

Love those vans, especially the long wheelbase ones, but the prices for them are mad.

Snapped this one was on Mimizan Plage aire .... complete with what looks like a roof tent.. never saw it up.. they were only in for one night.

all very romantic.. but very impractical .. not for me.

Why is that, Jim... ?

Is it because the steering wheel is on the wrong side...
