Now we have all known for many years that Boris can't tell the truth,
but if he has just flogged the USA the "lamb" pictured below, then we can expect repercussions !

The Americans will just think they are big lambs (y)

When we have had guests from the USA they would never eat lamb or mutton. My Chicago friend said it was because it's considered to be inferior and the type of meat that poor Mexicans or Caribbeans eat. I'm not sure how true that is.

Next time we have guests from the USA I will make a hotpot and not tell them it's sheep meat :)

Lamb is not so popular in the USA perhaps for the reason you state. Brother who lives in Connecticut thinks it is because it's too strong a flavour for them. It's easily available but just not a big seller. Perhaps if it was Marketed as Irish Lamb it might do better as they for some reason go mental for anything Irish. Irish Pubs, Irish section in Supermarkets and everyone seems to have an Irish relative real or imagined.

We have relatives in Connecticut who are of Irish decent, and yes they all go mad over anything Irish ☘️

I think it could be taken as a tad unfair to blame Boris for a lazy picture editors error.
While I realise some folk can’t resist making political points on a motorhome forum it does become a little tedious at times.

I don't agree... it's fun... especially if it is about Bumbling B... the man who gives private education and privilege a bad name...

JJ

A friend of our refuses to eat 'lamb' because she thinks it is the cute babies you see in the spring, we have tried to explain about the age & size they get to before they become dinner, but she won't have it. :wasntme:🐑🐑🐑

All politicians are far game, especially French ones! At least Boris has a sence of humour unlike the boy across La Manche

Had my first curry goat at Notting Hill carnival many years ago, along with jerk chicken. Wow. And Kleftiko, after a tedious flight, long drive, shower and a restorative half bottle of ouzo, nothing like it…served with a side of horta, soul food.

Curry goat…slow cooked hogget …mutton vindaloo ….🐑🐐(y)(y) drool! Poor Americans don’t know what they’re missing!
Why eat lamb when you can eat steak for a few dollars a pound.
Lamb is OK but it's seriously overpriced here.

Sometimes a change is nice. It's a close run thing for me but I would go for a roast Leg of Lamb over a roast Sirloin of Beef just as I would go for Shepherds Pie over a Cottage Pie. Fortunately I can enjoy both.
