I have a chausson flash 10 on a fiat chassis with a 2.2 engine, I'm only averaging 23 mpg
I try try to keep around 60-65 mph on the motorway,
Any one else tell me what mpg they get as I feel this is pretty crap.

thanks for all the replies. its just that my last van was on a transit and averaged around 30mpg.
i wasnt getting stressed i just wondered if i could be doing better as i would prefer to spend the money on some nice single malts,
Your MPG figure is about right for the 3ltr Fiat in a van conversion, I get similar results and very satisfied. The smaller engined motorhomes are working much harder and more so if they have an overcab bunk area so they are bound to use more fuel.Drove to Fort William from Plymouth last month, about 600 miles with a strong tailwind, got 31 mpg out of our 3 litre PVC. This was the best we have ever achieved. I think the very strong tailwind must have helped although of course the majority of the trip was on motorways. By the time we got back home after touring bits of the East coast we achieved overall about 29mpg. This was better than average but I had also found the tyre pressures were a bit low so had blown them up to the pressures shown in the handbook before the trip and this made a difference I am sure. Generally drove at around 60 (accurate GPS speed) on the motorways but pootled in the Highlands.

2.3 150 Ducato giving 29mpg average but my usual speed on the motorway is only around 55mph (giving 35 mpg) so I can get some sleep.
