Is there such a thing? I am sure I have seen mention of them on here, I am getting fed up of getting down on my knees on wet ground to open the grey water tap.
I have tried putting all sorts of things in eBay but nothing seems to come up.
Any ideas what I should be looking for?

I found a chinese one on eBay once, but baulked at the price (was around £70 I think). I was going to wait until I had a bit more cash. It would be great to have a switch from the driving seat for use on RV/coach style gratings. (Not for when driving down a country road with no-one in sight!)

The 1" version of the above might do it for my setup, but everything depends on existing pipework.

The data sheet states:
"Ideal for dirty or clean water drainage for caravans, canal boats, motor homes, HVAC, solar water heating, solar thermal system, water recycling, rainwater system, BMS building management systems, communal and district heating systems, tenant heat meter services, harvested grey water systems, home energy control systems, building zone applications and heating metering systems."

I think I might buy one.

Don't forget the camera Charlie, I don't have to move from the drivers seat when having a dump.

Now got to thinking a bit more, is there such a thing as a pump to pump it out quicker?

Absolutely there is. A 12V macerator pump. You can also attach a hose and pump it a reasonable distance to a distant waste point.

It was an option on our van but rather than paying Hymer many hundreds of pounds I did it myself for ten quid.
I might think about doing that myself at some point. I also wanted to get a decent rear view camera. My stop light mounted one gives me a top down view at the rear, but a rear view mirror would be good too. I think I can auto switch that at the rear door depending on whether the reverse is selected. I could contrive switching for the waste outlet so that it switches to the correct camera and automatically selects the image on the stereo (by sending a fake reverse signal). Just needs some switches, a bit of thought, a couple of auto video switchers and a couple of cameras.

Here is what I did and later in the thread I added a front camera.

Why not leave the tap in the on position and park a waste hog under when on site.check you have room for the waste hog to fit underneath. Simples

Then you have to lug that to the emptying point and you have got to store it when not in use. He's got a Motorhome not a caravan.

Not simples. That is way more complex than just driving to the drain point on the way out and flicking a switch. You need a wastehog for a start. And you need to position it underneath in the rain, which means leaving the vehicle. And remembering to drag it to the toilet block. And it only contains 40 litres. Some tanks are over 200 litres. And the waste hog doesn't have a level sensor to say when you're going to overflow.

I am seriously going to look at a pump now , won't need a tap as I can run the waste pipe higher than the tank then just switch on and pump it out, hopefully no blockage and faster as well when you have a queue behind you.
