Sorry if this has been posted before, but I´ve just seen this article in Autocaravan (Google translation):

As a result of the malaise caused in the motorhome sector by Decree 10/2021, of January 22, regulating tourist accommodation in the Valencian Community, the General Directorate of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana has issued a statement in which it clarifies that parking of motorhomes is excluded from the scope of application of the article which speaks of "free camping".

In recent days, different forums and motorhome groups, as well as the sector's employers' association, have noted some concern regarding section 5 of article 2, which describes free camping as "the possible installation of tents , caravans, motorhomes or other mobile shelters or means of accommodation with the intention of staying and spending the night in places other than the establishments regulated in this decree ”.

In this sense, the discomfort was caused by the fact that motorhomes (vehicles governed by traffic regulations) were included in the same category as other camping elements referred to by the concept of "free camping". To clarify this nuance, Aseicar has held a meeting with the General Directorate of Tourism of the Valencian Community at the end of which they have issued this statement :

«In relation to the doubts that are being raised regarding what is stated in article 2, section 5 of Decree 10/2021, of January 22, of the Consell, which approves the Regulatory Regulation of tourist accommodation of the Valencian Community, It is reported that section 5 of article 2 of the aforementioned Decree excludes from the application of this the parking with or without the intention of overnighting the motorhomes, since it does not prohibit or regulate the parking of these vehicles since this issue is not the responsibility of the tourist Administration".

Good news!!

Was in Valencia for much of April. Absolutely no problem with overnighting in the van and that goes for all the Costa blanca this winter except of course Calpe.
Calpe is so nice I don't mind paying. :giggle:

Last time I was in Calpe I paid €27 a night.
Got caught for short stay and it was Easter, the posh Camper stop near the beach was the only one with space.
Have you recovered yet,😂😂 BUSBY.
