Motorhome MOT testing around the Huntingdon area

Does anyone have any recommendations for MOT testing stations in the Huntingdon and surrounding area that you have used to have your motorhome tested with good access.

Our local one is a bit tight to get in and out of and last year they clobbered the back corner of our motorhome into a wall while getting it out.

I have rung most testing stations in Huntingdon and none can do motorhomes.

You could try MC Vehicle services at Maxey near Market Deeping. (01778380842). They used to test my 3 axle hobby which was 4,500 kgs. Wherever you go do NOT use Concord servicing in Peterborough. They were atrocious when they serviced and MOT'd one of my previous vans.

just had mine done at a halfords autocenter, excellent service. Check the web for autocenters near you that take 3.5 ton or class 7 and call them telling them its a class 4 motorhome to see if they have the bigger lift.

Can't rate them highly enough.

Get mine done through them. Sorry I don’t have further details to hand at the moment.

That one is 35 mile from me, but I'll bare that one in mind if I struggle to find one nearer.

Now that's looking promising as I have got to pick up an engine block next week I'm having re-bored at Anglian Engines who are just 200 yards away around the corner.

I saw all the motorhomes on Google maps at the PBS location and the website address as wellsbridgemotorhomes.com and wrongly 2 and 2 together.

One extra large lift and service a MH every day it seems, but make every effort not to have more than one a day as their front yard is not the biggest and 24' of MH does take up a lot of space.

We've used MC for both the car and the MH, for over 15 x years now. Very good service for anyone living in the PE1 - 6 postcodes. They have tall bays and a drive over pit, rather than a hydraulic ramp/hoist.

Two on Tour , that place at St Neots sounds good for you. It'll also give you a chance to do an "Italian Tune Up" on the way from Brampton/Ellington, to clear the exhaust.

Had the MOT done at Tackwood in St Neots and a bonus was it was only £45.

They were happy to book a time slot for the MOT so I passed the hour it took by wandering around the Aldi and B&M stores at the end of the road.
Nice and polite people to deal with so I will be back there next year.

I agree, just had my car mot done by Tackwood, very friendly but maybe we’re biased because the passed our vehicles
