as i said on the other thread......add on arch extensions for a 4x4 cut to fit or have a bodyshop flare the wheel arches and paint

my son is a tecnik. he said put it in . and then fix what they fail it on.
My son was a beatnick. He couldn't fix a hole if one fell on him. :(:(:(

most mechanics i know treat their own car/van like the cobblers wife.....do as little as possible, as no money to be made fixing your own vehicle

I need the staff Tootles, I just can't do it all on my own. We have another member of staff starting a week on Monday as well. And far from "paying well" its a scary time committing to paying someone a very good wage, hopefully it will work out well for all concerned.

TB1, its an oft quoted "fact" that cobblers kids have bare feet and muckaniks drive the ropiest cars on the road.

yes Dave you are right. I have a vw golf r reg sitting on my drive with its gearbox on the floor. and the jag that was mine is outside his house. but he said put a car in first , because you just don't know what they will fail it on. he is fed up with them. what he says is a fail. they pass. so he lets them mot it , then if it passes he does the things that need fixing.

Did the wifes last week Van & my car April. I don't fret cos I spend as much time under my van as in it
My tester is top drawer too so I know if he finds anything it is for my own good. He pointed out a screw in the wifes car front tyre, this was straight after Costco had fitted two new and put them to the back.

Just realised my MH MoT is nearly two weeks overdue. ARSE.

Hoping when I drive it from storage to the MoT centre I don't go through any number plate recognition cameras. I'll probably get nobbled by VoSA's computer system anyway - it's a fair cop Your Honour, society's to blame.

If you are pre-booked in for the test you are ok to travel straight there, no detours!
Cheers, Dave(y)

I am glad that I did not write that.

£4.60 delivered
£91.99 20 litres of total 9000 5w40

If people are paying what you did it is ludicrous that some throw it away with only a few thousand miles use  each to their own.

i will have to find out what they actually charged me for as it just says 6.5 oil so it must be 6.5 litres off pure gold at that price

Apprentice fitted (fought with and learned a few new words I think) the new front down pipe yesterday and we then overhauled the rear brake calipers, submitted for retest today and passed no problem.

Fingers crossed for Monday!
