Monsaraz Parking - another new video. (1 Viewer)

Looking out over the snow covered fields I thought a little blue sky was called for so I've been busy putting another video together.
The ancient Portuguese defensive hill village of Monsaraz, close to the Spanish border, must offer one of the loveliest views in Europe.
Free parking, great views, a castle and those lovely white buildings, all under a deep blue sky.
Quite a tonic for a cold winters day.

Yep, one of the nicest views we have ever woken up to. There is no water or waste dump, so just for parking. And you need to get there reasonably early to get a place. When we were there at the beginning of April 2015 the nicer top section, closest to the old town, was full by about 4pm.
