Now I didn't set out on this month long trip of the Baltics looking for love, in fact I was more interested in abandoned Soviet era military sites but you can never say never and the female of the species up in this part of the world is particualrly beautiful.

Anyway, I'm rambling already....

I needed a site for services so had a look on CC and a nice little site popped up close to where I want to be tomorrow. I pulled in about midday and the nice owner showed me the services and took me down by foot to where I could park. During the small talk he had asked if I was travelling alone and when I replied yes he thought it was funny as the only other person on the campsite was a young German lady who was also alone.

We passed the Fraulein who was in a hippy-esque PVC with her 2 dogs outside. She was sitting enjoying the sunshine, her lovely dress flowing gently in the breeze. I couldn't help but notice she was exactly my type. A quick "Guten tag, wie gehts?" would suffice for now - she must have been impressed with my impeccable German!.... plenty time to chat later. Maybe at dusk around the firepit that was between where she was and where I was to park? How romantic that would be!

So she's European, a dog lover, around my age and not only a travel lover but a solo van-lifer like myself. Surely?

I have now parked up and set up the seat on my pitch. I've sat down with a book just as she is passing. Play it cool I thought, just a passing remark on her lovely dogs will do for now.

Literally 30 seconds has passed when I can hear her engine start up and I see her heading out of the campsite never to be seen again (probably).

Auf wiedersehn meine liebe ❤️

Don't fret lad. She has probably just popped down the road for milk......or for champagne to entice this single hulk who has arrived on site. ;)

The Aberdonian accent wouldn't have helped!

isnt it a nice feeling to just be attracted to someone?
to know that there is hope of finding someone out there, thatll set the pulse racing?
and if you dont see her again, nothing can spoil your perception of her she can be just perfect,
i think its a nice glowy feeling…….. or am i a romantic?

Eh ... it translates as: "Ah that hurts me But song" ... I assume that's a translation error and you're not talking about making music by farting!

Idiot, stop playing games you men and pretending you don't fancy her. Many years ago, I met a guy I fancied at work. I always told him I have a fantastic life and a fantastic boyfriend; I was lying I was living alone and had no boyfriend. Found out years later he felt the same way about me, but it was too late and so sad :(

This story reminds me of that French angel I encountered in Greece 2 years ago ....she was gorgeous , free-spirited hippy in am old merc van ...I was smitten but probably never even entered her radar.

Such is life

We're just working on "Will you" by Hazel o Connor for our band a bit of a chew for Liz as she's going to have to do the sax solo. What bought it to mind reading this thread was the description on the music " one of the most honest and genuinely touching go on give us a shag songs ever written!"

You may have had a lucky escape...........could have been one of those half woman half bloke things:unsure:

Love the sax on that song…..! (y)
That's why we're doing it but also why it's going to take a while to do. Evidently the sax player took her to court to get some royalties from it being played.
