Mr Indecisive here again!
having looked at all of the threads re Mirror Protection settled on the Mirror Guard ones for a Fiat Ducato based Rollerteam Zefiro.
So one decision made and now I have to decide Black or White!
Existing Mirrors are Black and Mirror Guard say White are most popular - I guess visibility is the key? Motorhome is mainly white but intended ordering Black to mach existing but now .............
Any suggestions!

We are going to paint part of ours yellow to make them even more visible - safety before looks every time :) Unless @Jim has time (and knows where they are) to send us some stickers.

Black ones with highly reflective silver Solas tape - have done ours but no photos of ours on our Mirrorguards at the moment but this is what the tape does https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/reflective-stickers-for-mirrors.91148/

Getting better month by month.
Whilst I do think black look better. After all the mirrors are black and look good, white is best for visibility
Add some reflective stickers.

Thanks guys - as always great advice!! 2 for black two for white and one for a bit of yellow!!!
Will keep a tally and see where I end up!
I used reflective tape on Motorbike and it works really well so maybe a great option!

I put silver ones on my grey van. My thinking was black blends in, white too stark, silver still visible :D

People kept driving at my mirrors and it was obvious to me that they could not see them because the mirrors were black ( and the oncoming drivers were blind, but I had no way to influence that). I fitted a pair of silver mirror guards and the difference in behaviour of oncoming traffic was like I was suddenly driving a two foot wider van with flashing lights all over it. Nothing has hit me since.

My van is silver, hence the silver mirror guards, but given the choice between black and white, I would choose white as the visible option (y)

We have white to match the white of the van, we then placed reflective tape facing the front so people in the dark can see you coming, well that's the idea at least.
Black or White, one thing for sure, at some point they will clash with someone coming the other way, so they are a £120 insurance policy, against a £450 replacement mirror & frame cost(y)
Fingers crossed we will survive the first and last "Jousting Tournament" with white van man.

Definitely white. We changed from black and noticed the difference with oncoming traffic immediately. Drivers notice the mirrors and move over even when they don't need to.

Whatever option you go for would highly recommend Solas tape as it is the most reflective as looks like extra lights so appearing to be a larger vehicle to oncoming traffic at night (y)

Silver on mine. Stands out from the white body, and more noticeable than black. Goes with the silver grill

Surprised to see that bull bar in the photo thought they were banned as very dangerous to pedestrians?

Alternative to the Mirror Guard ones but still good quality 'thick' material:

https://www.seaflo-uk.com/mirror-protectors-427-c.asp

We got a pair at a MH show we went to last year - we were able to compare them to the cheaper Milenco and more expensive Mirror Guard ones and these were as thick/strong as the MG ones.

They have a reflector on the back of the cover and a top and bottom reflector on the mirror side so can be seen both back and front in the dark.

Hi
This is the response from Mirrorguard as to the type:-
Thank you for your email.
The Mirrorguard you require for your van would be the medium/long armed type The white one are the most popular.
We look forward to your order.
Kind Regards
Paul Sydenham
