MCC Euro tunnel booking.

Arrived at Folkestone on Saturday 8th August @6am for our crossing booked via the Motorhome and caravan club in January.
We were informed you should have been here yesterday 7th August. You can imagine my reply.
The lady said we get this all the time with the club mixing up the dates.
I had to pay £460 to get a return ticket.
My question to you guys is has anybody experienced this issue before. How did you get on claiming compensation for the mistake etc. Thanks in advance

Did you not get confirmation from the C&MC for your booking when made?

Yes got that in January and presented that at the auto book terminal. The screen said no booking for this journey. We then spoke to the operator who said you should have been here yesterday. So you can't trust the booking confirmation that's for sure.

If you have booking confirmation from them for yesterday then it is a straight forward claim I would have thought?
Just wondered why you bought a return though as the original return would have been ok ,if the date was correct ?

Crikey that's a wallop to take, I would have bought a one way ticket and booked the return a few days before coming home.
