Something jogged my memory about LPG cylinders. Back when I was working we purchased a lorry that had a 500 kg LPG tank on it. We did not need it so we decided to sell it. It was advertised on Ebay, then we were contacted by Calor to say it was theirs and we cannot sell it.

Going back to cylinders the rub has always being that you cannot legally refill a cylinder that does not belong to you. With Safefill you purchase the cylinder so it is then legal.

Question is (hypothetical) I have a Flogas cylinder which I obtained from Flogas. Can I legally sell it?

You are no problems passing on a contract cylinder to a new user technically with the paperwork for the contract. You can not SELL ownership of a contract cylinder. If somebody pays you a few quid to take over the contract, that is legal

What they dont want is the cylinder ending up as scrap or cut up and turned into a potbellied stove or chimnea by somebody

Calor would not have had so many problems if they gave the deposit back.
There contract states that after so long you get back zilch.

Also. Who still has their original contract receipt? The only time I bought a 'new' Calor cylinder was back in the sixties. It has been exchanged for bigger, smaller, bigger many times since. :(
