No ,you put the nozzle in the cup and pull the trigger and bits move outwards to clamp into the cup. It’s a lot easier than the English type.
Yes. You should carry a good set of gloves to grip it tight enough. You also need them to remove the dish after filling as it will be flipping cold.….make sure you do it up really as tight as you can.
I have leather gauntlets kept with the adapters, once bitten twice shy !Yes. You should carry a good set of gloves to grip it tight enough. You also need them to remove the dish after filling as it will be flipping cold.
That depends on the hands tightening it. Not proposing tools are used, but it needs to be a good hand tight or the o- ring will not seal and gas will leak rather spectacularly as I found first time. There is no need to over tighten the adaptor you. Risk. Damaging the. Rubber O ring hand tight is sufficient
Great! I just bought a big box of many sized o rings from middle of Lidl, couldn’t resist it! Now I can put some spares in and justify my purchase..and on another point, its always good practice to keep a few spare o rings for the adapters in the van in case one breaks/leaks.
Normal rubber o rings work fine.

They usually don’t make any noise for ages. You just have to wait it out with hand on the button. The discharge of gas when disconnecting pump from van is rather scarey however. I don’t think that I will ever get used to it.Thanks all, that is how I hoped it would work.
The video is great, but I would have preferred to hear the noises that the pump makes rather than some soothing meadow music
