Sadly we had a phone call on the way to the airport yesterday to tell us our faithfull friend of 14 years Molly had had a heart attack and died,so much harder because we wen't there and felt so helpless. She always trsvelled with us with both when we had a caravan and later in the MH.
We always left her with friends when we flew, they must be devastated as well.No doubt we shall be looking for another,to say looking to replace her sounds wrong, nothing ever could.

So sorry Richard. Having one myself I know how hard it must be for you.
I'm Still Here

Dear friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side
each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me
alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star
on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand
when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves
when fall comes around
And the pure white snow
that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers
of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water
in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom
you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop
that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light
when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that
the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking
there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me
through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer
through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence
in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears
that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams
that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see
on a baby's face.
Just look for me, dear friend,
I'm everyplace!

So sorry Richard to hear that. Happy memories and time will help.

Feeling so sad for you.
Our beautiful collies died many years ago but I still seem to see, hear and touch them almost every day, even in places they've never been. And of course I talk to them and see those eyes and ears listening.
You'll keep her with you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. But didn't she die in the best possible way. No long protracted illness. Just bam, and gone! She's running free now and will be forever in your hearts. My sympathies.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Feeling it for you both, Richard. :( The loss of a close and dear member of the family is always hard to bare, especially in the situation as you describe it. However, Molly will always be with you, in your thoughts, and you will keep forever her memory alive.:cry:

I'm a newbie.
Really sorry to hear about Molly  but as already mentioned at least she didn't have a long drawn out illness.

Last Night

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said " it's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.

So very sorry to hear of your loss; as a fellow dog owner, (along with half of Fun, it seems ) I can feel your pain.
It doesn't help to say, remember the good times, .........cause only time will heal the wound, but at least Molly is now running free, and waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

R.I.P Molly.

It is always awful to lose a faithful friend.

Our Lucy is getting older, developing arthritis, and I am beginning to worry already.

I have had dogs all my life but know she will be my last. My thoughts are with you.

Many thanks for all the kind words and messages.

For times like this we really do need a 'thank you' rather than a 'like' button so please accept a like! not sure how many @s you could put in a post either.

7 vans in 40yrs
Hi

Our last four legged friend Louee, border collie in my avatar, sadly we said goodbye, two weeks ago.Louee was 13yrs old, aching joints, poor eyesight , nothing wrong with his nose or hearing, and would play like a 2 year old forgetting his problems. We now have a quiet house, strange no one now to eat the food scraps or as he was the biggest lap dog going.
He had a good life with us considering he spent the first 11 months of his life locked in shed before we had him.
Louee has now joined the gang "Over the Rainbow" can play with Suney (in picture who left us last June) Dilan and Jay and Bouncer, also Thomas and Tizer our cats and family doggy mates Tess, lizzie, Pepsi, Tass, Lucy.
We know all had a good life and we remember all the good times, they are all in our hearts forever.

My sympathy on the loss of Louee. It does help to think of all our lost animals chasing each other over the rainbow bridge. Something to hang on to, this side of the bridge.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
It's such a very sad time when we lose a pet but I cannot imagine how awful your friends must feel. There'll be lots of pet friendly folks on thinking of you. We all utterly adore our animals.
