Hi I’ve got a problem on our B698 HYMER motorhome with all the electrics off and plugged in on site the fault current protection switch keeps tripping I’ve been told it is probably the leisure charger would this be correct and where is it found thanks for any help .

I would assume you’ve got a consumer unit (fuse board) inside the van. Does that have a separate breaker/switch for charger? I so turn that off, and try again to connect to EHU

Easiest fault finding...
Find the consumer unit
Turn ALL the breakers off. It may only have 2 or 3 breakers and a main switch.
Plug into hookup
Turn on the main breaker.... Not tripped?
Turn on each circuit breaker in turn until it trips.
That is the circuit with a fault
It may have the charger and fridge on the socket circuit... If so need to find and unplug them then plug each back in in turn to see if either trip the breaker.
Most electrical faults are just a process of ilimination.

Can you clarify whether it's the fault protection switch on the hookup post, or the one in the motorhome consumer unit?

You dont mention age of your hymer.
On ours, 2013, there is a box called an ebl99 which contains the mains battery charger and the dc fuses.
On the front of it is a 240v ac supply for the charger. It is like the plug on a kettle and can be pulled out to disconnect the mains charger.
Yours may be similar.
