life time guarantee

I bought a multi purpose ladder from NEC in 2010 with life time guarantee one of the plastic feet broke a couple of years ago finally got round to phoning them to get it replaced they were sending it free of charge until I told them when I bought it and then wanted £19.99 do I have a case to take it further

Not unless it is written in the Guarantee/Warranty "Including P&P" ...

All they will say is they are charging for packing it up and posting.. not the item..
