Since 2008 & many years tugging
Came off the ferry at Dieppe this afternoon straight into a pea souper cleared up after a few miles. Drove the rest of the day in brilliant sunshine with temps of 14 - 15°.

Tried a different Aire for our first stop a a few km south of Nonancourt at Brezolles.
A nice walled area next to the lake & near the village centre. Free of course, nothing but the best for a F'LT.

One other Brit here in a Frankie, left our door open for an hour they never came and said hello.

I seem to remember that the road was a bit noisy, plus the French managed to squeeze twice the number of vans in than there was really room for. Nice town though.
Where are you heading for @Lenny HB?
We are coming over in about 10 days time and intend going Portugal way.

Richard.

Road quiet now, a third van came in so only 3 of us.
As we have to be in Belgium for 26th March not going to even try to get as far as Portugal. Probably go via Somport tunnel then head towards the coast.

We’re going to Spain on Sunday and normally do the N10 route but having followed you on your Portugal trip and now this one I think I’ll try the A20 route to see what it’s like, have fun

if you are heading any where near here just south west of brive la gaillarde , nice aire at lac de causse , over looking the lake , usually 4.75 euro's but this time of the year I think you can park in the car park

A bit of a late start @Clarky was right about the traffic noise a lot of hgv's use the little road got woken up at 6 am that was 5 am to us. Also had a chat with the couple in the Frankie they were full timers they come from our part of the world, Newhaven.

Only managed just over 200 miles today rather than going via Orleans came down via Chateaudun, Blois and joined the A20 just north of Chateauroux.

Tonight's stop little village of Fromental, services and EHU all free. Small shop, Post Office & Library all on site.

Looks nice there. We are heading back to France after touring around Northern Spain and the top end of Portugal. Found some nice places but overall, not impressed with the top end of Spain. Weather has been good though, up to 24 on a couple of days. We are heading towards the Atlantic coast tomorrow for a bit of a paddle.

On your last trip we found some lovely places in Northern Spain ended up spending more time there than intended.
Funny you should say that. We will have a month to play with after we exit Morocco and I have been just thinking of returning to the very North West of Spain
Stunning and a little of the beaten track for many motorhomes.

Don't need to rush down to Spain for the sun, we have found it in France had have just been meandering down.
Lunchtime stop today it was 21° only managed 145 miles today.

Now at Cahors in the Aire down by the river only 3 spaces, one left at 4:30. Oh boy that was fun getting into it, narrow with high kerbs. I did my plonker act tried to get in forwards so we had a nice view of the river. Had to reverse back of of the Aire and reverse it in, it was still a challenge.

Only 3 spaces here but a couple of hundred yards up the road a bit away from the river there is a big slightly scruffy carpark with a Motorhome sign, about 8 or 9 vans in it with room for dozens more. Of course all free round here.

Crazy weather Feburuary and we are sitting about in short sleeves, nearly half five and still 20°.

Bad move it was disgusting tasted like Ribena that had gone off.
But adding some of this and an ice cube made it almost palatable, still pretty grim.

What I'm a F'LT it was over €3.

But it's so bad I think I will have to.:)

We all make mistakes mate.....

Just 50 cents more and it would have been an excellent wine....(y)
